Peak Therapy Services
Privacy Policy
Effective June 1, 2026
This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We work with children and families, and we treat your privacy with the same care we bring to our therapy.
This Privacy Policy applies to peaktherapyclinic.com (the "Site"), operated by Peak Therapy Services PC ("Peak Therapy Services," "we," "us," or "our"). It covers information collected through the Site only.
Health information is handled separately. Information about your child's care, evaluations, and treatment is protected health information governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices and by California law — not by this policy. This policy covers the website.
Information you give us
We only collect what you choose to share. Depending on how you use the Site, that may include:
- Waitlist requests. When you join our waitlist, we collect the parent or guardian's name and contact details, and basic information about the child you're inquiring for, such as first name, age, and the type of support you're seeking.
- Contact and consultation requests. When you reach out through our contact form or request a free consultation, we collect your name, email, phone number, and whatever you include in your message.
- Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe, we collect your email address.
Please don't send detailed medical history, diagnoses, or sensitive health records through website forms or email. A short note about what you're looking for is all we need to start the conversation, and we'll gather clinical details securely once we connect.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our Site collects limited technical information automatically when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. We use this to keep the Site secure, fix problems, and understand which content is useful.
We use cookies and similar technologies for these purposes. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Turning off cookies may affect how parts of the Site work.
Analytics
We may use analytics tools to see how visitors find and use the Site in aggregate. These tools may set their own cookies and collect usage data under their own privacy policies.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no industry-standard way to interpret these signals, so our Site does not currently respond to them. We treat all visitors the same way described in this policy.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Respond to your waitlist, consultation, and contact requests;
- Schedule and follow up about services for your child;
- Send the newsletter or updates you've asked to receive;
- Operate, secure, and improve the Site;
- Meet our legal and professional obligations.
We will only contact you about your inquiry, your spot on the waitlist, and updates you've opted into. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we never sell or share information about children.
We share information only in these limited situations:
- Service providers. We use trusted vendors to run the Site and our practice, such as website hosting, email and newsletter delivery, scheduling, and forms. They may handle your information only to provide their service to us.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of a child, a family, the public, or our practice.
- Business changes. If our practice is ever transferred or restructured, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
Children's information
Our Site is intended for parents, guardians, and caregivers, not for children. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13 through the Site. Any information about a child reaches us through a parent or guardian who chooses to provide it. If you believe a child has provided us information through the Site, please contact us and we will delete it.
Data security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information you share with us. No website or method of transmission is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. Sensitive clinical information is handled through secure, HIPAA-appropriate systems separate from the public Site.
Your choices and California privacy rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you've given us through the Site. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code § 1798.83) lets California residents request information about personal information shared with third parties for those parties' own direct marketing. We do not share your information for that purpose, so there is nothing to disclose. You may still contact us to confirm.
Links to other sites
The Site may link to outside resources, such as developmental milestone references or partner organizations. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before sharing information with them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practice or the law changes. When we do, we'll revise the effective date at the top. Significant changes will be posted on this page.
