where your child actually lives.
When a child learns a skill in a clinic, they still have to transfer that skill to their home, their bedroom, their kitchen, their backyard. That transfer takes time — and often it doesn't happen at all.
When a child learns the same skill in their own home, with their own things, in their own routine, it sticks immediately. There's no gap between therapy and real life — they're the same thing.
That's the power of home-based OT. And it's why families who choose in-home therapy often see faster, more lasting progress than those in clinic-only settings.
Skills Generalize Instantly
No transfer gap. Skills are practiced in the exact environment where they need to be used — breakfast table, bathroom, bedroom, backyard.
Therapists See the Full Picture
We observe your child's actual space, routines, and triggers — insight no clinic visit could ever provide. This makes our plans dramatically more targeted.
Families Are Fully Involved
Parents participate in every session — watching, learning, and practicing strategies they can use all day, every day, not just during sessions.
Children Feel Safe and Comfortable
No adjustment period, no stranger anxiety, no unfamiliar environments. Kids are calmer and more engaged when therapy happens where they feel at home.
Zero Commute, Zero Stress
No driving, no waiting rooms, no schedule disruptions. We arrive at your door — you just need to be home.
In-home OT for the
whole child
Our home-based program covers the full range of pediatric OT needs — all practiced in the real environment where your child needs these skills most.
Early Intervention
For children ages 0–3, early in-home OT is the gold standard — hands-on support in the environment where developmental gains stick fastest.
Fine Motor & Handwriting
Pencil grip, handwriting endurance, scissor skills, and hand strength — practiced at your actual kitchen table, with your child's own pencils and paper.
Sensory Regulation
We identify your home's sensory triggers and teach strategies that work in your real environment — not a clinic's ideal setup.
Feeding & Mealtime
Feeding therapy at your actual table, with your actual foods, in your actual mealtime routine. Results carry over immediately because nothing is simulated.
Self-Care & Daily Living
Dressing, grooming, teeth brushing, toileting — we practice these in your actual bathroom and bedroom, with your actual clothes and tools.
Emotional Regulation & Behavior
Building calming strategies and coping tools for meltdowns, transitions, and challenging moments — right in the home environment where they happen.

The Central Valley's

Questions about
in-home OT?
Here are the questions we hear most. Don't see yours? Reach out — we love talking to families before they commit to anything.
Ask Us Directly →Is home-based OT as effective as clinic-based therapy?
For most children, home-based OT is actually more effective — especially for self-care, feeding, sensory regulation, and daily living skills. When therapy happens in the real environment where skills need to be used, progress generalizes immediately. There's no "transfer gap" between clinic and home because they're the same place.
How far do you travel for home visits?
We serve families throughout the Central Valley and greater Sacramento area — including Lodi, Stockton, Sacramento, Elk Grove, Galt, Manteca, Tracy, and Modesto. If you're outside these areas, contact us and we'll let you know if we can reach you. We're always looking to expand our service area.
Do I need to prepare my home in any way?
Not at all — that's the whole point. We come to your home as it naturally is, observe your child's real environment, and build therapy around what you already have. No special equipment needed. We use your child's own toys, furniture, and daily items as the therapy tools.
What ages do you serve with home-based OT?
We serve children from birth through age 18 with home-based OT. Early intervention for children ages 0–3 is a specialty — and home-based delivery is the gold standard for that age group. The earlier we begin, the greater the long-term impact.
Do you accept Regional Center funding?
Yes — we accept Regional Center funding for eligible families. We work with Regional Center of the East Bay and San Andreas Regional Center. Contact us to discuss your specific authorization and we'll help guide you through the process. We also accept private pay.
Can parents be present during sessions?
Absolutely — we encourage it. Parent involvement is one of the biggest advantages of home-based OT. You watch every session, learn the strategies, ask questions in real time, and leave each visit knowing exactly what to practice during the week. You become a co-therapist in the best possible way.
