General Questions
Peak Therapy Services provides pediatric occupational therapy and speech-language therapy designed to support children in their development, communication, independence, and confidence. Services are individualized, evidence-based, and family-centered.
Pediatric occupational therapy helps children develop the skills they need for everyday activities such as:
Fine motor skills (writing, cutting, grasping)
Sensory processing and regulation
Self-care (dressing, feeding, toileting)
Play skills
School readiness and participation
Therapy is play-based and tailored to each child’s developmental needs.
Speech-language therapy supports children with:
Speech sound production and clarity
Expressive and receptive language
Social communication
Oral-motor skills
Sessions are engaging, supportive, and focused on functional communication skills.
Your child may benefit from occupational or speech therapy if you notice:
Delays in developmental milestones
Difficulty communicating wants or needs
Sensory sensitivities or regulation challenges
Trouble with fine motor or self-care tasks
Feeding difficulties
Challenges with attention, coordination, or play
If you’re unsure, we’re happy to discuss your concerns and help guide next steps.
The initial visit typically includes:
Parent interview and history review
Observation and age-appropriate assessment
Discussion of strengths and areas of need
Development of individualized therapy goals
We believe in partnering with families from day one.
Sessions typically last 30–60 minutes, depending on your child’s age, needs, and therapy plan.
Therapy frequency varies by child and may be recommended weekly, bi-weekly, or in therapy blocks. Your therapist will review progress regularly and adjust the plan as needed.
Parent involvement is encouraged. Depending on the child and session goals, parents may observe, participate, or receive feedback and strategies to support progress at home.
Let your child know they’ll be playing and learning with a therapist
Dress them in comfortable clothes
Bring any relevant evaluations, school reports, or medical records
